RSP holding policy debate on disaster risk reduction

Kathmandu, May 10: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) is holding a national policy debate on ‘disaster management and risk reduction’ today.

General Secretary Bhup Dev Shah informed that various issues surrounding disaster risk reduction and management would be dwelt on during the programme. The event is organized by the Party-Parliament-Government Coordination Committee of the RSP.

Area expert Dr Gaurav Sagar Dawadi is scheduled to provide orientation as keynote speaker during the policy brainstorming that kicks off at 3:00 pm.

The event features exchange of experiences of locals including people’s representatives like Chairman of Helambu Rural Municipality, Nima Gyaljen Sherpa; security officials, and Director General at Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Dr Archana Shrestha.
