Landslide damages school building in Humla

Adanchuli (Humla), May 20: Landslide occurred at Nepka village of Changkheli rural municipality-5 in Humla district damaged a basic school building in Changkheli-5 on Tuesday night.

A local Chhakka Bahadur Tamang shared that the landslide following hailstone and rainfall also buried cowsheds of Harkadhan Tamang, chairperson of Changkheli-5, and Dhan Singh Tamang.

Chief of the District Police Office, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Shankar Khadka, mentioned that details of the losses caused by the landslide are awaited. A police team has already headed towards the landslide-affected area. 

Changkheli rural municipality has four villages—Tallo Pali, Mathillo Pali, Piplang and Nepka. Nepka village lies around five-hour walk from Piplang, the centre of Changkheli rural municipality.
