Khajura Rural Municipality constructs alternative route

Ranjha (Banke), July 12: Khajura Rural Municipality in Banke district has constructed a road connecting Dhawalagiri to Bigaun as an alternative to Nepalgunj-Gulariya Postal Highway.

According to chair of the rural municipality, Dambar Bahadur BK, the newly developed route stretches from a place near Adarsha Secondary School of Khajura Rural Municipality-3 to Bigaun.

The construction of the road has made travel between Nepalgunj and Gulariya (in Bardiya) convenient.

Meanwhile, works are at progress to connect all eight wards of Khajura Rural Municipality with a blacktopped road network, expand blacktop roads in each village to create a ‘dust-free village’, and construct an improved sewage system to find a long-term solution to the inundation issues here.

The project was implemented at a cost of Rs 61.9 million.
