One dies in crocodile attack

Chitwan, June 2: A person died in a crocodile attack in Chitwan district today. The deceased has been identified as Kul Bahadur Chokhal, 56, of Bharatpur metropolitan city-23.

According to Information Officer at the District Police Office, Chitwan, Chandra Bhusan Yadav, the crocodile had attacked Chokhal when he was on the way to collect grass. 

The family members had intensified his search after Chokhal did not return home from nearby Hariyali community forest. He was found dead on the Rapti river bank during search operation, Yadav added. 

Further investigation into the incident was underway, police informed.
