March 5 HoR election a case study for whole world, former PM Karki claims

Kathmandu, June 5: Former Prime Minister Sushila Karki has said that the House of Representatives (HoR) election held on March 5 was a case study for the entire world. 

During the central review workshop organized today by the Election Commission (EC), Karki said that new political parties and new generation have come to the House by winning the election and they should be given a chance to work by respecting the people’s verdict.

She said that the role of the government, Election Commission, security bodies and media persons was crucial in making the HoR election a success.

On the occasion, former Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Anil Kumar Sinha said the HoR election on March 5 was conducted without any violence, thanks to cooperation among the government, Election Commission and stakeholders. 

Similarly, then Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal viewed that stability should be maintained in the country by ensuring good governance and political culture as per the spirit of the Gen-Z Movement.
